Justin Bieber has earned his fifth million-selling album in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music. The pop star's latest album, Purpose, has now surpassed 1 million total copies sold.
The set sold another 100,000 copies in the latest tracking week, bringing its total sum in pure album sales to 1.01 million. Bieber's other million sellers are: Believe (released in 2012, 1.61 million), Under the Mistletoe (2011, 1.51 million), My World 2.0 (2010, 3.33 million) and My World (2009, 2.08 million).

Purpose is just the third album released in 2015 to sell one million copies. It joinsAdele's 25 (5.98 million) and Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late (1.12 million).
Additionally, Purpose only took five weeks to reach a million sold -- the quickest trip to a million for Bieber thus far. His previous quickest rise to a million sold with an album was with Under the Mistletoe, which took seven weeks to reach the mark.
Purpose debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated Dec. 5, giving Bieber his sixth chart-topping album. It bowed with 649,000 equivalent album units and 522,000 in pure album sales.
